Jays 1968 Plymouth Valiant
The name of this 1968 Valiant came from the owners name being Jay and the color of the car. This a bracket drag car that started out as a restoration and his love for Mopars.
As the guys in the shop started tearing into this one, they realized it needed quite a bit of sheet metal work to make it solid again. After replacing lower quarters, trunk, and floor pans, lots of patch work in random places through out the body and parts. After blocking this car 4 times and going through 23 rolls of tape, to ensure the body lines perfect and it shows. The color is the original color but now with Urethane materials from PPG. Lots of wiring detail in this car. Everything from Delay box, 2 step, line locks, 2 ignition boxes, and complete chassis harness. Stroked 408 motor with a Built TF727 and putting the power to the ground through a 8-3/4″ rear end and 10.5 slicks.
